What’s In It For Me?

Hey everyone!  We are excited and look forward to sharing all things Membership with you through our monthly newsletter article, What’s in it for ME?  How often have YOU or a fellow clubwoman or even a neighbor asked what are the benefits of belonging to GFWC-NC and GFWC?  We plan to answer this question and give you helpful ways to USE the many benefits of belonging each month.

Now that summer is here many of you may be wondering what your club can do now to recruit new members.  How can we keep our members engaged while we are on break from the club year?   The COVID-19 pandemic may have altered normal activities but there are plenty of ways to keep your clubwomen going strong both mentally and physically!  Have a Summer Social on a member’s deck, organize a daily/weekly walk at a park, or host a picnic lunch or dinner to reconnect – just being together can be what a member needs right now.  Host a recruitment informational coffee hour at a member’s home – a small group setting may be less intimidating to someone new.  Be sure to check the city, county, and state guidelines for restrictions before you schedule any events.  Continue using social media as a platform to make sure your club happenings are visible to others.  By now most of you probably have figured out how to navigate the cyber world and will continue having virtual meetings and gatherings – club meetings, weekly Happy Hours, monthly Book Club, etc.  Remember to self-care but if ZOOM fatigue has you spinning, check this out: https://www.advisory.com/daily-briefing/2020/04/27/zoom
