Since 1902, General Federation of Women’s Clubs of North Carolina (GFWC-NC) has been united in its commitment to volunteer service. With over 110 clubs throughout North Carolina, we are improving our local communities through programs in Arts and Culture, Civic Engagement and Outreach, Education and Libraries, Environment, and Health and Wellness. We are diverse in age, interests and experiences, but we are united by a desire to create positive change, and, together, we transform lives every day.
We are a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Established in 1890, GFWC and its over 60,000 members represent more than 20 countries. Each club maintains its identity and focus while benefiting from the strength that comes from being a part of the world’s largest and oldest international volunteer service organization whose motto is “Unity in Diversity”.
