Publications

GFWC-NC has several publications. Included with each member's dues is a subscription to the NC CLUBWOMAN. This is a sixteen-page magazine published four times a year. The magazine gives information on state meetings, membership, fund raising, special projects and what's happening in the district and local clubs.


If your club is participating in a wonderful project...we want to read about it.

If you club has success with membership or fundraising... share your story.

If your club is having a special anniversary or has lost a special member...please let us know. If your club is sponsoring a fundraiser of interest to others, has someone they want to honor, or has a business that might like to advertise in the CLUBWOMAN... send it to Headquarters.

Deadlines for the magazine are: May 1st, Aug 1st, Dec. 1st and Feb. 1st.

Remember that a picture is worth a thousand words and action shots are always best... but even articles from local newspapers can be used. GFWC CLUBWOMAN is another wonderful tool for clubwomen. The club presidents receive a free annual subscription but the wealth of information found in this publication is well worth the nominal subscription fee. They also have a section on clubs and it is always exciting to see our North Carolina club members in print. These articles must go to the GFWC editor directly though. Club presidents; please be sure to share this publication with your club members.

Newsletters

Club presidents, as members of the GFWC-NC Board of Directors will receive periodic GFWC-NC newsletters. This publication is loaded with emerging issues and timely information that also should be shared with the club. State chairmen are encouraged to use this tool to communicate to the local club level.

Club Administration Book

Club presidents will also receive an Administration Book at the beginning of the administration. These are offered to club presidents as a benefit of membership, as is the GFWC Administration Book. Both are a must for the club leadership. Additional books may be purchased at any state meeting or through Headquarters (see the Materials for Sale list). In addition to information on the state and national officers, there is information on the district and club leadership. The Administration Book is the resource for GFWC-NC bylaws, resolutions, history, pertinent administration projects, reporting information and forms, scholarship information and forms (see scholarships), Department Program Guides, and Arts Festival Brochure.

Free Publications

GFWC of North Carolina - LeafletFREE to clubs are three important publications that promote membership and increase knowledge about the Federation. The first is a brief get-to-know us profile of the GFWC-NC which has space for local club contact information. A wonderful tool with more in-depth information about the Federation is the Orientation brochure. The newest piece, the Federation Brochure, features the Federation in a historical complete with photos.
